History
The haunted house event was birthed in 2006 with the goal of providing the Youth Center with an annual fundraiser. The money raised from this event goes to support the Youth Center’s mission of providing a safe after school program for junior high youth free of charge. This effort has allowed not only for the Youth Center to raise funds but to develop healthy relationships with in the business community and to collaborate with our senior center. The most rewarding part of this event is creating a sense of accomplishment and ownership for the many students that volunteer their time. It is our desire with this event to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
The past two years over $16,000 has been raised and over 100 volunteers have participated. We have been blessed with a team of great people who have turned this dream into a reality. Many students talk and plan for this project throughout the summer and into fall. We are excited about our new season of, “Sun Prairie’s Most Haunted.”
